Field Kit

Here's a picture of the stuff I take to the garage when it's magic time. With this kit, i'm ready for anything. Petty much.

  1. Psh you can't even see what any of that stuff is. More detail/better picture!

  2. I'm impressed with the energy that came off that picture.

  3. Great Kit! I wish my planetary lamens were metallic and not paper :S

  4. That looks a lot like a Trithemius-style ebony wand.

As somebody who struggles with an often-paralyzing perfectionism, I'm very encouraged to see that the metallic seals don't need to be absolutely circular to work properly.

Thank you for sharing that picture.

  5. Very interesting pieces. Your kit seems to follow the same general flow of my own. :)

  6. to want, to dare, to know, AND TO KEEP SILENCE...

  7. Hey, Anonymous-suggesting-silence, you DO know this is a BLOG, right? Where I talk about magic?

    Also, Levi was a hack.

Even if he weren't, it's "to Know, to WILL, to Dare, and to Keep Silent." Not "to want." Big difference.

Also the order matters. It goes:

    1. knowing
    2. willing
    3. daring
    4. hushin' up

It's important because it's a process depicting the Great Work.

  8. @Anonymous---you are a dick.

Also, the bit at the end is about contemplating the nature of God, understanding of which is best had in a pure silence; symbolic of the time before the Word, before the LOGOS was spoken and all was shrouded in the silence of pre-existence, before God differentiated. It has nothing to do with not talking to humans. Jesus.

  9. Sorry if I offended you people. I was just suggesting that it is not healthy for the work to be showing your consecrated tools in public.

As I understand it the 4 verbs are a formula and as such they can be rearranged. My mother tongue is CASTELLANO, we used the same verb for TO WANT and TO WILL.

I really like your planetary work, (that is why I follow your blog) but I think Levi is far from being a hack.

Apologies. I was just offering advice as to the dangers of displaying your weapons in public, you have no idea how it is down here in South America.

  10. Anon, if it was just a language issue, no worries then.

As far as Levi goes, have you read the part where he says magic is not a vocation? Hack!

I take direct warnings better than subtle implications. "Watch out, people can use your image to affect your potency or your Work" would go over better with me.

The tools are quite safe though. It would be interesting to see what happened to someone who tried to affect them. Did you ever read the story of what happened to the Philistines when they captured the Ark of the Covenant? Or to the cart driver who handled the Ark when he shouldn't have?

  11. Just to put in me 2 cents for the sake of participation :D regarding anon's comments and the way things are done in South America, in part it is a custom amongst us Hispanic magicians to be very secretive about showing our consecrated tools, imo if you don't adhere to that cultural mindset..fuck it. The way I apply that 'no photos of spiritual objects' taboo is in regards to things directly touched and most of the time inhabited by the spirits themselves, thus asking permission to take a picture is essentially the polite thing to do, now there is a power in keeping certain objects secret imo, objects connected to the sorcerer on an intimate level but that is nearly always born from a spiritual mindset of 'paranoia' in which everyone who knows some magic and their mothers are looking to steal your power. The ark of the covenant example is a nice one, reminds me of the holy vessels in the Afro Cuban traditions and well since my eyes aren't melting and I doubt anyone can steal your power by connecting to the energetic signature of the picture, all I can really say to finish my ramble is..kick ass kit R.O. :)

  12. That could actually make nice bait for a trap, now that I think about it. You could publish pics of some tools that you fixed with ill intent.

  13. The sounds pretty groovy, essentially it could almost act like a spiritual virus to those that seek to fuck around with your stuff. Plant a little seed of destruction that isn't hard to cultivate. I saw a youtube user once use a somewhat similar technique, making a video rebuking someone that was harassing them and in quick shots flashing her picture with a goetic seal on it and a statement to leave him alone. My worry with that sort of thing is its containment and possible effects on the innocent folk.

  14. Meh, they'll be fine. What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

  15. Psshhaaa let God sort them out xD

  16. "Look at me still talking when there's magic to do."

  17. Making a note here Frater R.O...Huge success! Key is to break their hearts, tear them to pieces, and throw every piece into a fire, good ole' calcination. Then from the ashes make a delicious cake. On that note *plays some Portal 2*

  18. Fascinating! For me, it's very interesting to see what is in the field kits of other practitioners. Different tools for different styles/systems of magic.

    Very cool!
