So, I use Pandora for music entertainment. I created a station based on Cake. Over the months I've been listening to it, I've liked and added the similar artists that appealed to me, and it's become my go-to background music for astral rituals and for writing in general. Thought I'd share it for those into similar stuff.
Weezer's playing now.
He's going the distance!
ReplyDeleteI've got a tortured mind, and the blade is sharp...
ReplyDeleteI dunno why, but as much as I love the music, songs with words absolutely kill my ability to focus on anything. I need some good ambient to get my ritual on.
ReplyDeleteI've been the same, PR, for years. It's only been in the last few months that I've been able to get really good Work done with it playing in the background. Happened by accident one night, I have a channel of acoustic mellow celtic stuff, and I was trying to do a Hermetic Diagnosis for someone, and I couldn't get in the zone at all. I had to have the headphones on because my kids were up and watching tv close enough to be too friggin' loud to concentrate, and nothing was working for me. I was about to just give up til they went to bed, so I switched to my Cake channel, and started to take apart the crystal and table of practice to store it away, and I caught a vision in the crystal. I think it was a Johnny cash song, as a matter of fact. Don't know why, but my awareness just shifted back and up, and I was wandering the aethyrs.
ReplyDeleteNow I kind of want to find out if the sub-Lunars appreciate "Ring of Fire" as much as I do, bahaha.
