Wrong.

I've reconsidered my stance on the whole Occupation thing. I still think most of the people are idiots, but I think it needs to be done, and it's got my full support.

I was wrong in attacking the whole thing. And I was a dick about that. Sorry.

  2. It's not, Michael, look at it from Above. Give it a fair shake. Look at the currents flowing around the globe right now. They are reshaping the world. They've been manifesting right under our noses.

  3. I dunno. Its seems a little RED for my taste. I don't mean in the alchemical sense. I mean in the commie sense.

  4. The movement is very much needed. I'll admit, RO, I had hoped you would come to this conclusion. However, I am right there with you in that I don't agree with the entire thing. I mean, come on, minimum wage at $20/hour? That's just fucking retarded!

Besides, in a lighter way of thinking about it...if the far right can have their insanity movement in the form of the Tea Party...why can't the far far left have it's own movement? In my opinion, it's about damn time.

  5. Actually, I've noticed that a lot of leftists have been reconsidering the ideas of the Tea Party and thinking they were not so bad after all; that is, they were an amorphous protest movement (like OWS) with some crackpots, certainly, but also with some very good ideas - such as, why shouldn't the bailout organizers be accountable for their actions? In a way, it's actually a monumental achievement, for grass-roots organizers of the left to look across the aisle and realize that their far-right counterparts were, in some sense, fighting for the same thing. This has been part of a larger movement to reconceptualize 'friends' and 'enemies' outside the usual single-party lines - a big deal, in the USA.

  6. @BtF: It seems that way only because certain groups have begun trying to co-opt and redirect the movement with their own message(s) within the past week or so. Before then, It was primarily against the Federal reserve, fractional banking, and the general dickassery and corruption of the government and banking system/bankers alike. There are now other interests such as MoveOn.org trying to shape the energies of this thing into something else.

  8. I'm just impressed to encounter someone who can reconsider an opinion and change it, and who will admit when he was wrong. You are a rare individual. We need more like you, on all sides of every debate.

  9. They are people reacting to an offense. A BIG offense. It's just cause and effect. So it looks like a mess. So some people who show are more obnoxious than others. I'm just happy to see that our population isn't completely brain dead and can still register its stimulation as a reaction. To put it bluntly, it's more encouraging to see an angry mob angry, disorganized and mouthing clumsy, impassioned ideas than to see only a few alarmists and crooked politicians are willing to gather followers around the agenda of their "care." I mean, c'mon, folks. At least people are friggin's showing they are capable of reacting. I can relate to their passion regardless of its effect. It is understandable and it has meaning.

  10. I dislike the "International Banker" and the so called "Federal Reserve Bank" as much as I dislike that our financial system is based on extreme invisible credits of usury. And by that I mean usury in the most extreme sense. These banks didn't even have the money to lend out in the first place. What they did was cajole the feds to print more money on the spot(through the "Federal Reserve"), so that in the future (counting on projected interests fees) they would have the money to make up for what they didn't have and lent out originally, and make a profit. And that IS what I think is criminal in my book. Its no wonder that the economic system is falling apart, the money was never there. But what these morons on the street are protesting makes no sense. They are simply mad because the CEO's make so much money while the rest of America is having to deal with the fall-out of our failed-economic-system, and yeah that sucks. LOL but these same folks that are SO angry at the evil corporations won't have any issues purchasing the latest iPod mind you. I'm just saying...
