I've had enough

I am so ANGRY.

Over POLITICS!!! I haven't been this angry in years, and certainly not over something as stupid as politics. But I can’t take it any more. Some dude said we have to keep giving tax breaks to the richest Americans so they’ll create jobs. Geithner or some shit.

We’ve been giving them tax breaks for 11 years! And unemployment is higher than ever!

I say give them one more year, and if they don’t give us back the jobs that paid middle class salaries, AND NOT THAT BULLSHIT MCDONALDS SHIT, then we raise their taxes. Companies have been getting tax cuts and incentives to hire, and they've been recovering from the recession nicely for the last three years while the rest of us are fucked, UP THE ASS with minimum wage jobs? Yeah... fuck you.

Hey Tea Party, you've been lied to, cheated, manipulated, used to give corporate America a blowjob while they sell your kids into slavery at best, war overseas at worst.

Here's an idea to save some motherfucking money: Get out of Iraq and Afghanistan and Pakistan (where the people we're fighting for are sick of us anyway), take HALF the money we spend on the wars and put it into fixing the veterans that are all fucked up now thanks to us, and spend the other half on real job creation. We've got levies to build, nuclear power plants to inspect, mine safety to regulate, green energy to research and develop, and more than one Wall Street company to audit.

50,000 McDonalds jobs. Can't raise taxes on "Job Creators."

Gah. Gak!

WHERE IS MY MOTHERFUCKING DEATH RAY!?!?!?

  1. Where's your death ray? Google around a little. The US Navy is using your tax dollars (not some rich mo fo's) to develop one. Just a few days ago they tested a 15 kilowatt laser that can fry an outboard motor from miles away.

  2. AMEN Brotha R.O.!

Yeah, it's really getting on my nerves how it seems like so many people here in America are starting to wake up to this BS...yet our politicians keep pulling this crap.

Less and less people in our country are simply lying down and taking though. At least it seems like it to me. If they keep it up they might end up with a revolution on their hands.

  3. I take a longer view of this sort of thing. I agree with Greer's theories on how the next few decades are going to play out unless we pull a major new energy source out of our asses. We'll have much bigger things to worry about when this occurs.

  4. I too am in agreement with you. I understand the need to cut spending (especially in regards to military expenditures for "policing" the world) but why that is not coupled with some increase in revenue by taxing corporate America at least modestly is beyond me. They've been cutting corporate taxes since the Reagan era and it has never increased jobs, it's just lost revenue. And GE not paying any taxes at all after making billions in profit is simply a disgrace. If the politicians really cared about the citizenry at all they'd cut their own salaries back some, you know, share the pain of sacrifice. But no, not a peep out them on that.

  5. I have been sick of hearing this lately as well. How are people so ignorant that they think the rich use their own personal money to create jobs. They may use their corporations as tax shelters to avoid paying taxes on that money but not to create jobs. Then they ask for a decreased tax rate on they taxes they dodge anyway. Also if I hear one more person say that this is punishing people for success I am going to get the opportunity to use this right hook that I train every week. I have specifically avoided politics on my blog, so kudos to you for putting it out there.

  7. So this is a magic blog, right?

So what are you going to do about it? Whose wrath will you call down? What target will you pick? The Koch brothers are just asking for it in my opinion.

  8. How about all the money in foreign aid to countries that won't even honor something as basic as an American police warrant? This country is being run by a bunch of pussies! As for a magical remedy, we need to utilize our resources and all work on the same target each month.

  9. The last time taxes on the wealthy were this low in the United States was in 1928, just before the start of the Great Depression. The last time we had low unemployment and real wage growth was when the top tax rates were higher under Clinton. But way too many politicians in Washington like those big campaign contributions too much to do the math.

As far as taking action, well, a good magician never reveals his or her targets in advance...

  10. I feel your frustration. Both sides of the aisle piss me off, but what drives me nuts is the way republicans have been going about business since retaking the House.

The flagrant disregard for the people and even for a collaborative approach that sets differences aside is appalling.

Anyone catch that one rep that made the slip of saying "what we are doing is in the best interest of republican-i mean us-I mean Americans" LOl

  11. Our government is fucked, no one on Capital Hill listens to what the people want...just what puts more money in their pockets. It doesn't even matter to them if people are voting and passing laws, they don't care that we put them in power... Another tax break for the rich, that includes them!

Look at the medical MMJ industry in CA, they legalize for the purposes of medical use but that doesn't stop the feds from coming in and raiding 28 dispensaries in 24 hours. These are legitamate buisnesses which are saving the economy in many states. CO is a great example. The MMJ industry alone has saved Denver from going under. In fact the Republicans in cities where it wasn't legalized for medical use are getting pissed because they are losing out on the tax money! And who else isn't getting the tax money? The Feds, because they won't legalize and tax it, so instead they want to squash the whole industry. (O, I'm sorry that medical testing has proved that certain cannabanoids have been found to reduce tumor size in cancer patients, it doesn't matter if our "War on Drugs" has been a complete waste of money, We're THE MAN...we do what we want!"

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not
warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as
to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost
in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is its natural manure." -Thomas Jefferson

  12. Don't forget Libya. It's only a matter of time before US troops are on the ground there, too.

Obama doesn't care. He won't be in power in 2012 anyway...

  13. You know I am not a fan of all of Obama's policies, but I gotta say he's doing the best he can considering the situation he's inherited and the amount of pushback and resistence he's getting.

He's not perfect and he's made some decisions that I don't agree with, but frankly I'd vote for him in 2012.

  14. The problem with not voting for Obama in 2012 is that you then give the Prez to the wolves that are already stripping us down to our skivvies. I don't agree with everything he has done, nor do i think he has taken a hard enough stance against the ultra elite war hawk right billionaires. HOWEVER, i can not see myself saying oh well and handing over the keys for the party house to the frat boys because the nerds didn't hook you up :p Long live Lamda Lamda Lamda!
